When the founder was appearing in a play, the lady (Maggie) who did wardrobe had a sewing machine sitting right outside the one and only toilet available to cast during a performance.
Inside the toilet room, there was a little sign – “please leave this toilet as you would wish to find it”.
With Maggie sitting outside – how could you leave it a mess? Maggie would know! You were the last one in, it wasn’t a mess before you went in – therefore, you made the mess! How embarrassing to be *that person*!?
What Guard-e-loo is
Guard-e-loo is a system which takes two images of an empty room, and compares them to each other. It compares those two images to decide if any differences amount to misuse, or if they’re just normal wear and tear.
A muddy footprint will not be considered perfectly acceptable.
A name scrawled across a wall in spraypaint will be considered outside normal behaviour.
For this, it uses two mechanisms.
What Guard-e-loo is not
Guard-e-loo is not CCTV.
